Physical Literacy

Using this sheet as a plan and create a 5 minute lesson.  Thinking about the overall aim and objective of the curriculum.

Our group: Girls, 10 years, disengaged in sport

Engagement: This kind of girls are interesting about technology, mode, physical appearance. We could use apps with calorie counters, heart rate monitors and watches connect (with a good design).

Objectives: We were choosing to teach body combat. There were the jab, hook and uppercut; three basic moves. Students just had to copy and once they had learnt these put them together in a sequence.

Differentiation: Thinking about ages within the class the use of music to motivate people and help individuals keep to a beat. When they are older we can link heart rate and calories burned to the theory side of PE. For older students we can also think about who leads the lesson. When the students understand the moves they can put a whole routine together to teach to a class or in partners can work together with pads to practice the moves properly.
